Lunch & Learn Recap: Thank You, Dr. Susanne Lavery!

Thank you to Dr. Susanne Lavery, Ph.D., for joining us at WorkIT for this month's Lunch & Learn! We were excited to learn more about light sensitivity and print distortions and how they can affect reading, visual comfort, learning, and productivity.

As a screener with the Irlen Institute, Dr. Lavery shared valuable information about the different ways individuals can experience difficulties with light and printed materials. She also gave us the opportunity to see examples of how these visual challenges can appear and demonstrated different ways we can better recognize and support individuals who may be experiencing them.

This was a particularly meaningful topic for those working with students and individuals with different learning and visual needs. We appreciate Dr. Lavery taking the time to share her knowledge and give our WorkIT community practical insight into how we can be more aware and supportive of those around us.
