Congratulations to our February Member of the Month: Keri Garrison
This month, we are thrilled to shine the spotlight on one of our most engaged and inspiring members, Keri Garrison! As an independent Benefits Advisor for Aflac, Keri brings a wealth of knowledge and a passion for helping others to our coworking community. A Partner to Businesses and a Friend to Employees, Keri partners with business owners to provide voluntary supplemental insurance for their employees. Her work involves customizing benefit plans, educating employees on their options, supporting them through the enrollment process, and assisting with claims. She also collaborates with Brokers who specialize in providing major medical insurance, ensuring that businesses can offer comprehensive benefits packages to their teams. Her dedication to her clients and her expertise in the field make her an invaluable resource for many local businesses.
When she's not advising on benefits, Keri is a passionate crafter with a variety of creative pursuits. She enjoys quilting, making cozy chunky blankets, and exploring other crafts. This creativity and attention to detail are evident in everything she does, from her professional work to her personal hobbies. Born and raised in Oklahoma, Keri is the middle child of five siblings. Her deep roots in the state have given her a strong sense of community and a commitment to helping those around her. Keri's favorite piece of advice is a powerful reminder: "The next time you feel nervous about stepping outside your comfort zone, remind yourself, 'I feel fear because it's new, not because I can't do it.'" This mindset has undoubtedly contributed to her success and her willingness to take on new challenges. In a surprising twist, Keri was the only girl in her graduating high school class! This unique experience likely fostered a sense of resilience and individuality that has served her well throughout her life.
Keri's commitment to her community extends beyond her professional life. She is a dedicated supporter of non-profit organizations like The Saville Center and The Life Center, two vital organizations in Stillwater. Her desire to give back and make a positive impact is an inspiration to us all.
Her motivation for joining WorkIT Coworking Center was to connect with like-minded people and to have a professional space to meet with her clients. We are so glad she chose to be a part of our community!
Keri's hard work and dedication have not gone unnoticed. Her biggest career accomplishment to date is being named the 2024 Stillwater Chamber Ambassador of the Year. On a personal level, she is proud of graduating from Oklahoma State with a degree in Fire Protection and Safety Technology.
Looking ahead, Keri is focused on meeting or exceeding her Aflac targets for each quarter. We have no doubt that she will continue to achieve great things! A Fun Fact: If Keri could have any superpower, she would choose to be invisible and to time travel. She would love to travel back in time to personally experience different periods in United States history. What a fun and educational adventure that would be!
We are so proud to have Keri Garrison as a member of WorkIT Coworking Center. Her professionalism, creativity, and community spirit are a true asset to our space. Be sure to say hello to Keri the next time you see her at WorkIT!
