Kristen's Korner

A smiling woman sits at a table holding a bowl at Kristen's Korner, with a steaming pot of vegetable and noodle soup on an induction stove in front of her. Various condiments and a glass of water are also on the table. -WorkIT Coworking Center

Thai Cafe, Boba Fusion, Thai Loco — we’ve only been able to sit back and watch so many of our favorite restaurants, with the most delicious food, shut down one after another. Not to mention so many other local favorites. We couldn’t help but wonder: why didn’t they sell instead of closing?

Recently, we were in a very unique position to purchase an iconic Stillwater restaurant instead of letting it shut down like the others.

Rick & I are longtime customers of Tokyo Pot, and we couldn’t stand to see it close. I am excited to announce that we will be reopening Tokyo Pot! We were able to purchase Tokyo Pot and are committed to keeping it the exact same as you remember it.

This is only possible by the grace of God, with support from friends and family, support from the entrepreneurial community, sweat equity, marketing magic, hopes, and dreams.

The current amazing staff won’t have to find new jobs. We get to keep a beloved restaurant downtown, and we all still get the broth.

Follow Tokyo Pot on Facebook and Instagram, sign up for updates at http://tokyopot.com , and come visit us soon. Reopening Wednesday, April 8.

Over time, we will consider implementing some new ideas, such as:

  • To-go orders

  • Branded merchandise (like t-shirts)

  • All-you-can-eat night

  • More salads and desserts

  • And a few more surprises — and we’re always open to ideas!

If you know of anyone that would be an amazing fit for a part-time evening customer experience rock star, please send their resume to [email protected].

A portion of all proceeds are donated to local charities.
