This month, we’re excited to spotlight Logan Shimmer, founder of Shimmer Labs, a growing software and AI automation company right here in Stillwater. Logan is on a mission to help small businesses reclaim their time by building smart systems that handle the tasks most owners never signed up for like lead follow-up, scheduling, bookkeeping, and social media.

With over 15 years of experience across industries including tech, marketing automation, and clean energy, Logan has built a career around simplifying complex systems and making them work for people. After years working with companies like National Instruments, Iterable, and WeaveGrid, he decided to bring that expertise home—launching Shimmer Labs in Stillwater.

Logan thrives on building solutions that make a real impact. Whether it’s saving a business owner hours each week or creating tools that streamline operations, he’s driven by practical results—not just ideas. Outside of work, he stays active with running, cycling, and strength training, and enjoys cooking for large groups. A recent trip to the Philippines also helped him refocus on what matters most: presence, consistency, and meaningful connections.

An alum of Oklahoma State University (Class of 2009), Logan returned to Stillwater about a year and a half ago after living in California. Since moving back, he’s embraced being closer to family—helping his dad with beekeeping, volunteering alongside his mom at Elite Repeat, and spending time with his nieces, who are currently students at OSU.

One of Logan’s biggest accomplishments has been taking a leap of faith—leaving a stable tech career in California to start his own business in a college town. Just a year in, that decision is paying off. He’s launched multiple products, secured clients, and continues to grow his footprint in the local business community.

He’s also giving back by offering free weekly AI Office Hours at WorkIT and volunteering locally—always looking for ways to share knowledge and support others.

For Logan, being part of WorkIT is about connection. After years of remote work, he values being surrounded by other driven individuals, having real conversations, and building something alongside a community.

Logan lives by a personal mantra he created:
“Open Heart, Clear Boundaries, Steady Power.”
It’s a reminder to stay open to opportunities while maintaining focus and balance—something he continues to refine.

Looking ahead, Logan is focused on launching Sidecar, a productized version of Shimmer Labs’ services—bringing affordable AI automation to small businesses. He’s also hosting an upcoming Lunch & Learn on April 8th, where he’ll share insights on using AI agents to streamline business operations.

His long-term goal? To prove that innovative, impactful tech can be built right here in Stillwater.

A portion of all proceeds are donated to local charities.
